1. General Principles
At Marine Resource Foundation Tamil Nadu, we operate as an organization with the primary goal of supporting our mission and programs. Our refund and cancellation policies are designed to balance the needs of our donors and participants with our organizational responsibilities and legal obligations.

2. Donations
Important: Donations are generally non-refundable as they support our mission and objectives and are used immediately to fund our programs and operations.
Non-Refundable Donations:
- Once a donation is successfully processed, it is considered final and cannot be canceled or refunded under normal circumstances
- Donations are used to support our programs and operations
- Your donation may be tax-deductible as allowed by law (consult your tax advisor)
- Receipts for tax purposes will be issued upon successful processing of your donation
Refundable Donation Scenarios:
Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Duplicate Transactions: If you accidentally made the same donation twice, we will refund the duplicate transaction

Cancellation by Participant:

- No-show: No refund will be issued for no-shows
Cancellation by Organization:
- If we cancel an event, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your registration to a future event
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the event cancellation
- We are not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred (travel, accommodation, etc.)
Postponement:
- If an event is postponed, your registration will automatically be transferred to the new date
- If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the postponement announcement
5. Program Fees and Memberships
For ongoing programs, memberships, or subscription-based services (if applicable), the following terms apply:
- Monthly Subscriptions: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the next billing cycle to avoid charges
- Annual Memberships: Refunds are prorated based on the remaining term, minus a 10% administrative fee
- Program Participation: Once a program has commenced, fees are non-refundable unless the program is canceled by us
- Special Programs: Some programs may have specific cancellation terms that will be communicated at the time of registration
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

8. Non-Refundable Items

9. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting us, we may take the following actions:
- We will investigate the chargeback and provide evidence to your payment provider
- If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or invalid, you may be responsible for any fees incurred
- We reserve the right to refuse future transactions from accounts that have filed fraudulent chargebacks
- We strongly encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issues before initiating a chargeback
10. Special Circumstances
We understand that special circumstances may arise. We will consider refund requests in the following situations:
